ARDATEM operats in the energy sector, working on nuclear plants at various stages: studies, operation, and maintenance. The company also engages with industrial sites in the fuel cycle, thermal power plants, and research centers.


In 2022, ARDATEM UK Pvt Ltd. was established in the United Kingdom to provide engineering consulting services, particularly in the fields of Control and Instrumentation (C&I) and electrical engineering. This includes installation, commissioning, and maintenance, as well as all on-site activities for the UK nuclear industry.

We are looking for an experienced CAD Engineer to join our dynamic team. If you have strong experience in engineering and expertise in PDMS, E3D, AutoCAD, and Tekla software, this opportunity may be for you !

As a CAD Engineer within the Layout team, you will be responsible for supporting the construction of two EPR reactors at the HPC site. You will provide technical support related to the plant design, performing the following activities:

Main Responsibilities:

  • Modify the 3D PDMS model of both plants whenever a site change has a significant impact on the design, following modeling rules and verifying the consistency of the change. You will work on:

    • Components and equipment
    • Civil structure
    • Steelwork
    • Piping
    • HVAC ducts and components
    • Instrumentation
    • Electrical cable trays, boxes, and cabinets
    • Supports
  • Perform detailed 2D and 3D modeling activities to support the Layout team in responding to site queries.

  • Create detailed 2D drawings to assist the installation team and account for site adaptations.

  • Respond to site requests by gathering necessary information, performing technical analysis, liaising with design offices if needed, and assessing the impacts on different disciplines.

  • Perform 2D-3D checks when necessary.

  • Contribute to the production of technical documents to support construction, such as:

    • Equipment Location Book
    • Layout Dummy Bedplate Drawing
    • Review of Anchorages for Equipment, etc.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in a design office with knowledge of engineering disciplines (piping, electrical, HVAC, civil engineering).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with PDMS / E3D and AutoCAD.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the nuclear sector.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
  • Knowledge of TEKLA software and experience in plant layout engineering is a plus.
  • Proficiency in French is an additional asset.

We are looking for a candidate with a solid background in design office work and in-depth knowledge of several engineering areas, including piping, electrical, HVAC, and civil engineering. The ideal candidate should also meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience with PDMS / E3D and AutoCAD.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the nuclear sector.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
